Model: Tapo RV30 Max Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 251022 Rel. 144806

The title says it all.

I just had this robot replaced for this exact issue -- it refuses to obey no-go zones or virtual walls... See pictures.

This is so incredibly frustrating, because it used to work just fine, until about a few months ago. Not sure what changed.

Also, it just keep randomly creating 'new maps' ignoring the map that i have set for it with my no go zones and virtual walls.

I'm so very frustrated with this device. It used to be amazing and now it's actual garbage.

Did you confirm if the robot vacuum actually entered the no-go zones, and how often this happens?

Regarding the auto‑updated map: this occurs when your map is not locked. The robot scans during cleaning to adapt to layout changes.

This is not the case. My map is LOCKED. And it still creates a new map. Once i open the back door to my porch. It heads directly out there, creates a new map, and then cleans my porch instead of my office. It's broken.

During whole-home cleaning, the robot will try to clean any reachable area unless blocked by obstacles or zones. That’s expected.

However, if the map is locked, any newly cleaned areas will not be updated on the map. If your device is behaving differently, we recommend contacting our support team for further investigation. Please provide screenshots showing the map before and after the cleaning session to assist with the diagnosis. Contact Technical Support
