First of all, we’d like to reassure you that this does not necessarily indicate unauthorized access. However, to help ensure everything is secure and functioning as expected, we kindly recommend checking the following:
1. Please confirm whether the camera was still in Privacy Mode at the time you noticed the red LED turning on and then off.
2. Check whether your Tapo account has been shared with any other users. If the device is shared, actions taken by shared users may affect the camera state.
3. For additional account security, we strongly recommend enabling Two‑Factor Authentication (2FA) in the Tapo app. This adds an extra layer of protection to your account and helps prevent unauthorized access：Introducing Two-Step Verification (2FA) for the Tapo App

If you’re still concerned, please contact TP‑Link Technical Support directly and provide:
1.The exact date and time when this behavior occurred.
2. A brief description of what you observed (LED status and camera mode at that moment).
