Hi,
The length of a detection video clip varies between a camera powered by a power adapter and a battery-powered camera/doorbell.
For the camera powered by a power adapter:
    1. If the detection video clip is stored on a microSD card, the camera will record when there is an event trigger within the detection zone, and the recording will continue for 1 minute after the detection activity has ended. The maximum length of a detection video clip is 3 minutes.
    2. If the detection video clip is stored on the Tapo Care cloud server or Tapo hub, the maximum length of a detection video clip is 3 minutes, and the recording will continue for 10 seconds after the detection activity has ended.

For the battery-powered camera/doorbell camera:
You can go to the Tapo app > camera/doorbell's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > Clips Settings page to customize the video clip length; the maximum is 120 seconds. The length setting applies to video clips stored on the SD card and on the cloud server.

If the problem persists, contact our customer service team and provide the results of the troubleshooting steps above.

Best Regards,
