I do not broadcast my SSID and do not have a password for compatibility with other devices. I cannot get thru the setup because it requires a password. Does anyone know a way to get thru setup without a wifi password?

Hiding your SSID is not secure at all... it's very easy to pick up your SSID even though it's not broadcasting. I would set up a separate SSID for your legacy devices and lock it to only those devices... then use an SSID with a password for your newer devices and put the plug on that SSID.
