Stuck on the “Looking for Deco” Setup Page on Android Devices

This Article Applies To:  Any Model Configured and Set Up using the Android Deco App 3.0.X

When configuring the main Deco or Satellite Deco with the new Deco App, the “Looking for Deco” Page will Appear as a Static Image with no searching action. On this page, you should see a Wi-Fi Symbol with a Radar Sweeping Around the Circle.

Problematic (No Animation)               Correct (Radar Sweep Animation)

If you cannot see the animation, this may also be preventing your device from continuing to the next page for setup. Please follow the below steps to fix the behavior.

Solution:

Turn off the Remove Animations feature for your phone from Settings > Accessibility.

If you Have Enabled Developer Options on your Device, Set the Animation Duration Scale to Animation Scale 1x

For a Samsung S7 Tablet, the Steps are as Follows:

Please go to Settings > Accessibility > Visibility enhancements > Remove animations to turn it off.

Please go to Settings > About tablet > Software information > continue to tap the Build number until seeing the Developer options is enabled, then set the Animator duration scale to Animation scale 1x.
