In App Notifications and Timers

The Tapo App will remind you to occasionally perform maintenance or if a problem is detected. The Main Brush, Side Brush, and HEPA Filters have in-app timers to help you track when a part should be replaced.

Recommended Maintenance for Each Part

Charging Contacts (Clean Monthly)

  • Dust and debris buildup on the charging contacts can disrupt charging; clean with dry cloth every month or when visible dust appears.

Dust Bag (Replace When Full)

  • Dust bags automatically seal when removed, preventing exposure to dust.
  • Replace the dust bag with a new one when full; do not empty and reuse.

HEPA Filter (Once a Week, Replace After 3-6 Months)

  • Wash the HEPA filter thoroughly every two weeks and allow it to fully dry in sunlight before reusing.
  • Replace the filter every 200 hours of use or as needed to maintain optimal filtration efficiency.

Main Brush (Clean Every 2 Weeks, Replace After 6-12 Months)

  • Regularly remove debris or hair tangled around the brush using the included cleaning tool in the autoempty dock.
  • Replace the main brush approximately every 400 hours or sooner if worn.

Main Brush Cover (Clean Every 2 Weeks)

  • The cover prevents debris from tangling the main brush.
  • Periodically clean its surface and clips, and replace the brush cover if it becomes worn out or damaged.

Mop Cloth (Clean After Use Each Use, Replace After 2-3 Months)

  • Wash and dry the mop cloth thoroughly after each cleaning session.
  • Replace the cloth every 23 months, or sooner if it shows significant staining or wear.

Sensors (Clean Monthly or When Dust is Visible)

  • Dust accumulated on the sensors may impact your vacuums pathing efficiency, wipe the sensors clean with a dry cloth every month, or when dust is visible.
  • Sensors are located on both the front of the vacuum and the drop (stair) sensors are located on the bottom of the vacuum.

Side Brush (Clean Monthly, Replace After 3-6 Months)

  • Replace the side brush every 36 months, or earlier if it appears worn or damaged.
