Management of the Powerline AC Extender Through The Web Interface
The web-based management page is a built-in internal web server that does not require internet access. It does however require your device to be connected to the TP-Link device.
Note: Low version of your web browser may cause compatibility problems with the web-based interface(management page) of your device, such as unable to log into the interface, display incomplete features etc.
There are two methods to log into the management interface.
Method 1: Via web browser
Follow the steps below:
1. Connect your device to the powerline extender wirelessly. Find the Wi-Fi Info Card in the package if you do not know the default wireless settings and connect to the default Wi-Fi using the SSID and password on the card.
2. Open a web browser such as Safari, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer. At the top of the window in the address bar type in http://tplinkplc.net to open the management interface.
3. Enter admin (the default username and password) for both username and password, and click Login.
Method 2: Via tpPLC utility
Follow the steps below:
- Refer to How to prepare for using the tpPLC Utility? to use the tpPLC Utility.
- Open the utility, move your mouse over your powerline extender, and click the icon that appears beside it.
- Enter admin (the default username and password) for both username and password, and click Login.
