HS100 Problems with Alexa

I have three HS100's. The one farthest from my router is intermittent when using Alexa commands to turn on and off. However, if I control it via the KASA app it works every time. How can that be?
I have tried re-setting by pressing the re-set button. After a re-set it will work for a short while but eventually it stops accepting Alexa commands. Sometimes it will start working again by unplugging from the AC outlet and plugging back in.
Any suggestions?
