Alexa will turn off but won't turn on

Alexa will turn off but won't turn on

Just installed a HS100 and the tplink app works fine and Alexa found it fine. I can manually turn it off and on in the Alexa app. If the plug is on and I give Alexa a voice command to turn it off it works. However, if it's off and I give an on voice command to Alexa to turn it on she says she can't find the device. Again, turning it on in either app manually works fine. Any advice?
