The following message is displayed in Kasa: "We Need your Help to Continue Setup. Go to your phone's Wi-Fi network list connect to your null. Return to Kasa to continue setup. [Open Settings]."

I assume "null" means the network broadcast by the HS100, which is called "TP-LINK_Smart Plug_1233". It appears in my Wi-Fi network list but when I try to connect to it, the connection fails and the previous connection (to my FIOS router) is restored.

What should I do?

Try to foget your router's wifi and then reconnect to plug's wifi, and make sure you are close to the plug.
Also, did you try another phone or tablet? The plug's wifi is same with softAP.
