Using switches to trigger scenes
Using switches to trigger scenes

As far as I can tell it's not possible to use the physical switch to trigger a scene. I'm guessing kasa devices can't talk to each other, but maybe future development would allow for this. I think this would be a great add.
Here is an example...
Room setup:
HS200 - smart switch controlling over head light (normal bulb)
HS100 - smart plug controlling lamp (normal bulb)
LB100 smart bulb in a lamp (power switch always on)
Desired results:
Physically pressing HS200 switch turns on or off all lights in the room
Requires:
HS200 to send trigger commands either directly to the devices or more likely to a web server hosting the scene (toggle HS100 and LB100)

It is not actually controlling the scene with a product but scheduling a time where a scene will activate causing a switch, blub, or plug that is associated with that scene to trigger.
this Video will help explain each smart action a bit better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGDCfQSMla4

Thanks! I think that will do what I am trying to do. It looks like the switch will activate the smart action which will turn on or off other switches. Is that correct?

that's a different smart action, but yes control with a switch is a possiblity. The one involving scenes is where you schedule a time for a scene to trigger causing what ever devices are attached to do as the scene request. Such as dimming the lights for movie night.
