The dimmer switch does not dim
My house has dimmer switch and it can dim my recessed lights properly. After switch to Kasa dimmer switch, it cannot dim the lights although I can switch on and off the lights. During the calibration, even set it to the lowest rage, the light brightness is 100%. I replaced 2 dimmer switch with Kasa dimmer switch, and the behavior is the same.
my lights are Sylvania RT6. Is there a compatibility issue? Can you help me?

did you ever get an answer for this? I just installed the dimmer switches and the lights do not dim more than 50% even though it is at 1%.

Having the same issue. Installed the hs220 and everything (powering and dimming) work fine before connecting the switch to the app and WiFi network. Once you download the app and go through the steps of setting up the switch and connecting it to the WiFi network, the dimming stops working. I can still turn lights on and off both directly on the switch and from the iPhone app but the dimming does not work on either one. Seems like a lot of other people are having the same issue, would be nice (and a no-brainer) for someone from TP LINK to respond with a solution !!! Terrible customer support.

I just installed the dimmer switch and got the same results.
I have 4 can lights all wired in parallel.
I previously had a lutron regular dimmer that dimmed the lights.
Model: HS220
Hardware Version 1.0
Firmware Version 1.5.10 (no update available)

@SeanMcclure I figured out how to make the brightness even more lower of the lights.
Go to your device> click on the gear ⚙️> this will take you to device settings> scroll all the way to the bottom where it says dimming calibration> click on that to adjust the percentage you want to dim your lights.
Hope this helped.
