When your phone or tablet is on the same network as the switch are you able to control it locally?  If so go into the switch's device settings and see if a Remote Control toggle is available.   We would also like you to check for a frimware update to the swtich by clicking on the "3-bars" upper left corner of the main screen then clicking settings and then frimware updates.
