Model: HS110
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

Model: HS110

Hardware version 1.0

Firmware: 1.2.5

Kasa Smart version: 2.23.0 Build 936

Android.

Issue: timer will be removed

To reproduce the issue:

1) Make sure the plug is turned on when starting the app.

2) go to the device, go to timer and set the timer to turn on in six hours.

3) exit the timer screen after saving.

4) turn the device off from the app.

5) Exit Kasa Smart,

6) start Kasa Smart: the timer will not be there.

EDIT:  I am sorry, I put this under switches and not plugs page.

@Kasa_Soze

In the process you mentioned is the timer icon disappearing or is the action of the timer canceled as if you never set a timer?

@Tony The timer disapears as if I never set the timer.

@Kasa_Soze

I remember testing this with my HS105 when you mentioned this.

From what I found it is the turn off or on the device after setting up the timer is what quits the timer. In the case of wanting to set up a timer for several hours later, you would configure a schedule that doesn't care what state the plug is in or cancels out once the state of the plug changes.

A lamp was plugged into the outlet and it was switched on.   I was getting ready to leave and I wanted to the lamp to come back on a few hours after I left.  I set the time to turn on, left the house, turned the lamp off planning that the lamp would be on when I returned.

The fix is to turn the lamp off before setting the timer.  It was more convenient to program the timer before I turned the lamp off.
