Firmware Version: NA

I purchased an HS200 switch because I saw I had a white wire in the box of my previous switch. Today I am trying to install it and see that I only have 1 white and 1 black wire. I assume the black wire is the line wire. Is the white wire load AND neutral? Can this switch be used in this set up? I also have a bare copper wire for neutral.

For context there is currently a dimmer switch in this box. I don't need the dimmer functionality. I just would like to have a smart on/off switch.

Thanks in advance for your help.

@bhunt935 In your case the white wire is not a neutral.

A neutral is never connected to a dumb switch.
