Hi,
I have tried three different brands including GE, greatvalue, ecosmart 60w daylight bulbs with b12 base. When I install the lights either it flickers or it doesn't dim.
eco smart - flickering and not dimming
GE - not dimming
greatvalue - not dimming
please help.
Our dimmer is Incandescent/Halogen (forward phase control), based on TRIAC, and does not support lamps based on PWM (pulse width modulation) and ELV (electronic low voltage) dimming.
If you have multiple bulbs on a light fixture that the HS220 is controlling, try testing with only one bulb.
@Tony it doesn't dim with single bulb as well. I have ecosmart dimmable light in another room with hs220 and that works. The only difference between the two bulbs are the base. Same brand, same voltage, dimmable and both are LED bulbs.
I don't know how better to explain this, but I am not sure why the B12 base would not work when the conventional one works
@Rudri You can get a inexpensive E26 to E12 adapter and try the bulb on the working HS220.
That should answer the question of which is not working bulb or HS220.
