KP125 reboots if it can't call home. Firmware 1.0.10 only.
I recently realized that my Kasa Smart devices were accessible from the internet, instead of only from the local network. So I blocked internet access to those devices in my router. Since then, my KP125s running firmware 1.0.10 will reboot about every 10 minutes. They become inaccessible and the LED flashes while they restart. I have KP200s, an HS300, four KP125s on firmware 1.0.9, and two KP125s on firmware 1.0.10. Only the KP125s on firmware 1.0.10 are affected by this.
Can I downgrade the firmware on these two devices? I assume this is an added feature to attempt to get a connection to the cloud server by resetting itself, but it is causing my devices to become unavailable all throughout the day.
The image below shows that when I have Internet access blocked the connection drops for about a minute about every ten minutes. When the connection is allowed it stays connected.
At the request of chat support, I reset both plugs having this issue. After putting them back on my Wi-Fi network and restricting Internet access, they reboot every 10 minutes. If I toggle the plug during that time it will reset the 10 minute reboot timer.
