My model number is actually KL400L10, not KL400L5, and I am unsure of the Hardware Version, but here goes.....

I recently purchased a KL400L10 LED light strip.  This is a device that comes with a power supply, two plugs where the light strips attach, and two 16.4 foot LED light strips.  While installing one of the light strips, I tore it, so now I have one strip that is 16.4 feet and the other strip is about 11 feet.  I want to somehow replace the 11 foot light strip with another 16.4 foot strip.  Can I buy a KL400L5 (this is a unit with a power supply, one plug and one 16.4 foot light strip), and use that single light strip from the KL400L5 on the KL400L10?  I would unplug the 11 foot strip from the receptacle that it's plugged into now and connect in the 16.4 foot light strip from the KL400L5.  If not, is there another suggestion?  Trying not to have to buy a whole unit.
