HS220 will not connect to Homey
I bought this switch a year ago and installed it. I had a lot of problems getting the app to connect to it but after some silliness with wi-fi networks I managed to do that.
Now, the ONLY reason I bought this was because it was listed as fully supported in HOMEY. Turns out that even though there is an official Kasa app in Homey and this switch is listed in the compatible devices, after a year of back and forth with Homey support, I still do not have a connection to Homey.
Their reason...and I quote "I'm sorry to say we have been unable to solve the issue too this date, due to information and help we need from TP-Link but have not (yet) received."
1) So how is it that resolving this takes a year?
2) How is it that this device is still listed as being fully supported in the Homey Kasa app even though it has not worked for at least a year?
3) What is TP-Link's plan to resolve this?
I have 2 other 3 way switches that I have not bothered to install because it takes a bit of work and I am expecting that I will have the same problem.
I also have 2 smart bulbs (KL125) and they are continually losing connection to Homey but the problem is usually with Kasa/TP itself. At this moment, 1 of my lights is unreachable even in the Kasa app itself.
I was expecting more from TP-Link but as of now I will looking to replace all these and throw them in the garbage. And to never again buy a TP-Link product.
