C425 battery-preserving motion detection wake-up feature DOES NOT work
I have a C425, hardware version 1.20, firmware version 1.2.26.
After a few hours of testing, the C425 has a serious problem with its battery-preserving wake-up motion detection feature. I placed the c425 facing perpendicular to our busy street, 15 feet from the center line. It never woke up when vehicles and pedestrians passed by. Only if I selected it from the Tapo app would it start detecting the vehicles/pedestrians. It would continue to do so until I placed a sheet of plywood 3 feet in front of it, and waited for it to go to sleep. When I removed the plywood, the camera again couldn't detect any movement so never woke up. Using the Tapo app to select the c425 isn't a solution, as the app goes to sleep when the phone's lock screen comes on.
Could you please provide a feature to turn off the battery-preserving wake-up feature until this feature is fixed? I'd rather have a camera that I have to recharge once a month and detects motion to one that lasts a year and never detects anything.
Unrelated problem: The tapo app reboot feature does not work for the c425. You have to press the camera's power button to restart it.
