New C645D outdoor camera put it together inside and now ready to mount it outside ... but the release tabs on the sides of the mount will not release. The tabs only press inward about 1-2 mm (concurrently) but the two parts will not slide apart.
Getting ready to return $1100 of Tapo equipement due to stupid problems like this.
Ideas? Willing to wait 24 hrs for a solution ... then everything gets returned.
Could you see if you can get someone to give you a hand? Have one person press down on the release clips on both sides of the mounting bracket. While they’re holding it, have the other person gently but firmly pull the camera straight out.
If it still won’t come out, I’d recommend reaching out to our support team to get it replaced. Contact Technical Support
