@TP-Link 5 years have passed and still no update regarding this matter? It's just a simple feature...

  @c89mathe I just set up a new smart home with Tapo gear - 13 switches, 4 plugs, 3 door locks, and it wasn't until I finished getting it all named and automated that I discovered the benefits of having it all on an IoT network. Thankfully I was able to move everything over one by one using the "wifi reset" method which preserved all the other settings. Basically, hold the reset button for 5 seconds which puts it in pairing mode, then add the device to the Tapo app specifying the new network, and eventually the app will recognize the device as "pre-configured" and will ask if you want to preserve the settings. Yes! Probably took 45 minutes total to do all my devices.

Refund or add it. 

@tplink please offer one of these solutions:

1. Finally implement this after over 5 years
2. Refund all items for the full price regardless of age and avalable receipt
3. Send someone over free of charge to climb behind and on top of my (and anybody elses) furniture to manually reset the items one by one - of course this must be a repeatable offer with minimum waiting times

At the moment I would choose to have option #2 - after all my experiences I´d like a "TP-Link free home" :(
