New deco router advise
Hey y'all,
So we recently upgraded our network connection to 1000mbp/s. Our old router isn't really up to the task, and is only able to deliver us 400mbp/s (still good, but we're paying for more, so wanna use it). So I've decided to setup a new mesh network.
What deco model would you recommend for a medium home network with WiFi 5 devices? We don't have any WiFi 6 supported devices yet.
I was looking at the Deco X20 and X60, but those are both WiFi 6. Would they still put out a good connection for older devices?
Looking forward to your suggestions, and thanks in advance!

With WiFi5 the best you should expect, in real life scenario, is about 400-500Mbps. To have steady consistent WiFi speeds above that, you will need devices that support WiFi6 and router or WiFi mesh such as Deco which supports WiFi6.
Answering your other question, Deco X20 and X60 will support older WiFi5 devices just fine. Also, check if you could get Deco X68, that may be better choice if you are going to have Deco units connected to each other wirelessly, and not by Ethernet.

@Alexandre. Hi,
Thanks for your response!
The Deco X68 looks perfect for me, I can wirelessly put 1 upstairs, and just connect my Xbox to it with cable to get the max out of our internet.
We'll also be future proving our network with WiFi 6 :)
Thanks again, getting the X68💖

I just went through the same process. I opted to add one X60 to my current two device X20 system just to keep the same form factor. I will add the X60 as a satellite, then change it to the "Main".
I found a single X60 on Ebay. I'm think the satellite X20s will be good enough. FYI, COSTCO, in my area of South Florida has the 3 Pack X60 on sale for about $180.
