Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.8 Build 20230304 rel.60634(4555)

Please add the option of a wireless IoT network, in addition to the existing Guest network and main network. I am using the AX55 EasyMesh firmware and not the WireGuard version where I believe TP´Link has already done this.

 

Additionally, all the wireless networks should be "extended" when using devices such as the RE700X, not just the main network.

Archer AX55 has already supported IoT Network and lots of new features, please check and upgrade the router firmware to the latest version.

 

Check the Release Notes below for Archer AX55_V1_1.2.0 Build 20230314:

New Features/Enhancement:
1. Added Wireguad VPN feature;
2. Added Advanced features into AP mode;
3. Added flow control switch;
4. Added IoT network feature;
5. Supported setting the local DNS server as the main DNS server;
6. Optimized VPN client feature;
7. Optimized web UI of some advanced functions.

Bug Fixed:
1. Fixed the bug that caused Apple devices to be recognized as "unknown" devices at times;
2. Fixed some bugs related to the HomeShield feature.

NOTE: This firmware can not be degraded to the previous version.

You are right. The IoT network has been supported on the WireGuard VPN beta version and will be soon available on the new official version.

 

Regarding the request of extending the Guest Network via EasyMesh, we've brought it up with the team. However, I would also like to set your expectation that we do not have any turn-around time for this feature request to be addressed. It's suggested to keep an eye out for any announcement on our announcement thread for any updates that might be released or have already been released.
