Overview
We hope to offer you with a chance to experience the new features added in the VIGI Security Manager V1.6 in advance, and also give us TP-Link the opportunity to fully test the software in your real network environment and scenarios before the official release. All feedback is welcome, including lettings us know about successful upgrades.
Release Notes
New Feature:
1. Added support for managing eSATA and RAID.
2. Added functionality adaptation for VIGI C540-4G.
3. The device list now includes the display of Model and Firmware information.
Enhancement:
1. Improved playback functionality by implementing segmented timeline loading, resulting in reduced loading time.
2. Reduced memory usage during video playback and optimized the experience for long-duration video playback.
3. Improved device security by adding device username and password verification when modifying device IP in the discovered device list.
4. Modified local device binding logic after logging in with TP-Link ID to make it more user-friendly.
5. Optimized software UI to enhance user experience.
Bug fixes
1. Fixed some Multi-language related issues
2. Fixed the issue of inverted red and blue display on certain AMD Radeon graphics card computers.
3. Addressed some stability issues such as unresponsiveness and crashes during multi-screen playback.
Firmware Download
Before the Upgrade
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Beta firmware!
(2) Just in case, it's always recommended to save a copy of the NVR Config file before upgrade or downgrade.
(3) You may follow the User Guide to upgrade your NVR.
(4) The following beta firmware cannot be upgraded via TP-Link cloud access, please access the NVR through the Web Management interface or VIGI Security Manager.
