Model: EAP610-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20230922 Rel. 67667

Hi,

I want to connect my access points via a wire to ensure a stable connection.

Thus far, I have come this far:

gateway - switch - EAP615

Everything worked

Now I have connected the EAP615 to an EAP 610 outdoor but the EAP610 is not detected.

- I have verified the quality of the cable I used

- I used the ETH1 port on the EAP615 and checked the box in the configuration of the controller

- the EAP610 is connected to the EAP615 through the LAN port of its POE injector

What am I missing? Earlier it was connected wirelessly, and that went well.

  @janaca

Do NOT check the controller box, unless you have pre-configured the 610 with a different management VLAN!  This forces the port to use tagged traffic.

The ports will work just fine if they are unticked on the default VLAN.

Is the POE on that 615 port enabled?

@KimcheeGUN Yes, it is. But I do not use it. I picked the ETH1 port.

Make sure you are running the latest firmware for the EAP615-wall.  Keep in mind that the default VLAN for management is VLAN1-untagged, so you will need the switch and AP ports set appropriately.

The switch is unmanaged, so I suppose I cannot set it.

This is how I have set the EAP615, is it correct?

I have removed the EAP615 and put another switch to connect the controller to the EAP60. Then the EAP610 was recognized immediately!

So the problem must lie in the configuration of the ethernet ports on the EAP615. I have another EAP615 where the LAN ethernet connections don't work either. Only the POEport works...

The controller is still in the default mode (vlan1), I have not changed anything.

@d0ugmac1 THANK YOU! Now it's all there :-)

I must say, it is confusing... If I don't check the POE box, the port won't work, so I thought I also had to check the LAN boxes.
