Hi,
Im currently moving apartments and want to upgrade my wifi AP's.
I have now a single eap235 and I am wondering what to get next and these are the options.

1) 1X EAP660HD
2) 2X EAP660HD

3) "cableless" wifi mesh system (provider doesnt mind for me)

My only concern is because its a rental I might not be able to route a physical rj45 cable between the two AP's if I go with option 2, and I havent found info if the tplink omada mesh system requires a cable between AP's or if can run as a signal booster on half of its antennas (like tplink deco).

I would love some insight
Thanks a lot in advance!!

  @Destor

That's a lot of firepower for one apartment, but regardless, the ceiling APs can mesh with each other as long as you have a controller like the OC200 (or a software instance running on a Pi, on your NAS, in a Docker container, and old laptop....)

  @d0ugmac1 hi

yeah I use an oc200

but my question is: Di both EAP have to be connected over Ethernet cables to my switch (connected to my router) to deploy mesh WiFi or can one piggy back on the others wireless signal and boost it.

 Ps this firepower is needed in a full concrete apt

😅😅

thanks for you help

  @Destor only 1 AP needs to be wired.  It can wirelessly link to a standalone AP  ie just power.
