Changing wifi networks once set up?
Hey,
I have several Tapo cameras set up outside, how do I change the wifi network they are connected to currently - to another wifi network (extender) I have closer with stronger signal?

@andrea00 misinformation? I just reset 8 cameras and did it all from the app. Super easy.
As a matter of fact, it was just as easy as changing the WiFi directly in the app would have been - if it were an option.
what a lot of complainers!

@Solla-topee It is totally ridiculous I have to completely reset all my camera's to factory default to be able to change my wifi password. My 8 year old son has revealed the wifi password to others and now I need to change my network wifi password meaning I have to go outside in the cold to climb up to the tapo cams to unscrew the tiny cap on each of the camera's and then reset and re-install them one by one. This is truly a 1990's approach. I'm happy with my tapo cams but if I had know this in advance I would never have bought them. And certainly will not add anything to my setup until this has been resolved.

I bought a TAPO C402 camera and find it is a pain to switch to a different WiFi. Very disappointed.

Faced with the daunting task of resetting all my Tapo devices and a bunch of other things connected to my old WiFI router, I renamed my new router to the same name and gave it the same password. Problem solved in an instant.

@Solla-topee It is frustrating. I quess its a security or just cheaper to be this way. It is the same with Echo Dots, All the Wyze Cams I know and was hoping TPLing would be better. :( I have Wyze cams and was considering replacing with Tapo Spots because I have several Kasa smart plugs (which are great). The Wyze cams I have are also great, but I was hoping for a better experience. Its a pain to get to each camera (on ladders and what-not) to press and hold a reset button then go through the entire setup process again...for each one.

FML...I have 35 devices between kasa and tapo. I have to rebuild everything from scratch. I had 2 older routers and I'm consolodating down to 1 new one so I can't carry over both SSIDs, and I changed the SSID to a more anonymous name. The cameras are the issue, I just did one. Resetting it means I have to turn back on vehicle and pet detection, adjust the zones again, I even had one that had rstp configured...all of my configurations just blown away. I'll probably have to rebuild all the smart actions as well. As a software engineer...I see this as a major issue. A simple Android feature to "move all my devices to this SSID" would be nice.
