Hello Guys

I have created a network for approx 1700 users in our campus.

I m using er8411 router for that.

Created 2 Vlans on router ( Dhcp enabled)

Vlan1 ( For desktop computers on Lan, IP range 10.67.1.100 to 10.67.5.100)

Vlan2 ( For Wifi users, IP range 10.68.1.100 to 10.68.8.100)

I m not using any layer3 switch, all cables are separately connected in unmanaged switch for access point and desktop pcs.

My question is that, if one lan cable malfuntion in my Vlan1 network  will it disturb my whole network including  Vlan2.

My both Vlans are pinging each other ips, i want to separate them, do i need to buy layer 3 switch or router can do that?

There is a problem with your description.
First, you don't have a diagram to show me what your network looks like. I cannot answer this because I don't know if you separate VLANs on different cables.

This does not even make a question because it lacks background. No one can answer it but you.

Second, make the assumption that it is on the same port, one cable, if this cable malfunctions, definitely VLAN 2 stops as well.

If no, it's self-evident answer.

Third,  set up ACL to isolate the VLAN interfaces.

No.
