Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.7.3

Hi,

yesterday suddenly my kids could not use internet.

after quite some effort searching and troubleshooting i found out that the system time is 1 hour ahead.

that is why the parental control time limit was reached 1 hour before they expected

it seems daylight saving time is active for my system in the netherlands. But our daylight saving has not started yet!
i could not find any setting to deactivate day light saving

i updated to the most recent version, did not solve the problem

for now i extended the timelimit with 1 hour for my kids

anyone any ideas?

  @Gadg

Hi, Did you check system time on the Deco APP>More>System? or via the web interface (http://tplinkdeco.net), then go to Advanced>System>Time settings?

Did it help if you re-select the time zone to another place, and then choose "Amsterdam" back?

I used to receive feedback that Background system apps and tools can cause time limitations to expire earlier so I don't think it might be due to Daylight saving time.

By the way, the latest firmware for Deco M5(EU) is 1.7.6 now and it is also suggested to manually update the latest firmware version first.

  @David-TP yes, i checked the time in the web interface. It is 1 hour ahead of normal time. Daylight saving time starts after coming weekend here...

changing from Amsterdam to london, save, then back to Amsterdam : that worked!

thanks!
