Also eagerly waiting for a solution. Nowadays it's a no-go, that a camera cannot be integrated into a smart home solution. We're in 2024! This issue renders my cameras useless.

This has been resolved with version 6.0.0 of the HomeAssistant-Tapo-Control  ;)

(it was actual resolved by Tapo; it enabled support for 3rd party in their app)

I'm also waiting for this fix. I just installed three TP link cameras that I'm about to rip out because of this incompatibility. An update would be nice.
