There's no specific FW for this issue - you're already with the latest one.
For this kind of issue it's better to contact your ISP and ask them to check your line quality.

If I use supplied isp router the connection is fine, its only when I use third party routers I get issues

In your case you should return your VR2100 as not feasible or continue using it as an access point to extend the wireless coverage of your main modem router provided by your ISP. If you decide to do the latter follow this guide.
