Tether app displaying OneMesh as opposed to EasyMesh

Hi Folks,
I have an Archer AX73 v2.0 (Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20240323 rel.70541(4555) ) connected to a TL-WPA8631P Powerline Adapter (Hardware and Firmware versions attached to thread.) in a mesh network. Everything works fine, but in my Tether app (Version 4.7.14 - latest version I believe) the menu item is displayed as OneMesh, when I think it should be displayed as EasyMesh. Before I had my Archer AX73, I had a Archer AX72 Pro connected to the same powerline adapter and I believe the app displayed EasyMesh, and this meant that from the main Network page, I could see the adapter in the same network as the router, tap on it, and see the clients that were connected to it. I could also see the adapter listed as a Satelite Device on the My Devices page. This is not the case with my AX73, the adapter only appears under the OneMesh tab, and I have to go into advanced settings to see which clients are connected to it. If possible, I would like to set the app up where I can see the adapter from the main network page - it's not a deal breaker or anything but it would be nice. I have checked the EasyMesh supported device pages and both of my devices are listed as supported. I would also like to point out that the menu items are displayed as EasyMesh on the web browser pages that manage the router and adapter via their IP addresses.
Any help to get this fixed would be greatly appreciated, if anymore details or clarification is needed, please just reach out.

Got a similar problem when connecting my RE220 to my Archer AX21 router. Updated the firmware version with supported Easymesh function for both devices and it seems to be working but on the Tether app there is only a menu item for OneMesh. It says the RE220 is part of a OneMesh network while the web browser only has EasyMesh listed with the RE220 as a satellite device. Is the app just incorrectly displaying it as OneMesh or do I have to configure an additional setting to use the two devices as EasyMesh?

Dear @Sunshine
I also have the same problem with Archer AX73 V2.0 on firmware 1.1.0 Build 20240323 rel.70541(4555).
I have Archer AX73 as Main Router and three Archer C80s working in Satellite Mode and it all works fine over LAN network where all three Archer C80s are connected with LAN cables to EasyMesh network.
When I access Archer AX73 via mobile application Teather then only OneMesh network is shown, while EasyMesh network is not visible and not displayed at all.
Also in Teather application OneMesh can be turned off and disabled, but it has no significance for EasyMesh network operation and all satellite devices continue to work normally...
Is a new firmware expected that will fix this, and also is there any indication that Archer AX73 V2.0 will also get WireGuard VPN function with that new future firmware upgrade?
Thanks!

I have the same problem. Easymesh isnt showing on the tether app only onemesh shows.
My main router is the AX80 and my satellite is the AX73. Both router firmwares are up to date AX80 on the 1.1.3 build and AX73 on the 1.1.2 build.
Would be great if this issue will be fixed ASAP since it's been over a year since I had this problem and there was never a fix for it.

I'm also planning similar to you, because now I have an Archer AX73 V2 as my main router and I want to buy another Archer AX80 (EU) V1.
I'm planning to then set up the Archer AX80 (EU) V1 as the main router, and to set up the Archer AX 73 via Building a EasyMesh Network via Ethernet Backhaul, so I'm interested in how it will work.
What is the Wi-Fi range of Archer AX80, is it better than AX73 especially on 5 GHz (AX network)?
Thanks!

I currently run them with an Ethernet backhaul via easymesh just like how you're planning to run it on and it runs flawlessly well.
Regarding the wifi 5G range, to me they are very similar but I set my 5G channel width to 80Mhz instead of the full 160Mhz since I get more range and reliability. As for the wifi speed 5G 80Mhz it caps my speed at 2400mbps instead of 4800mbps channel width 160Mhz which is already more than enough and I get lesser interference from my neighbors.
The only issue I have with this setup is onemesh displaying instead of the easymesh on the tether app, but I could get around it by logging into the web browser to configure it.
But in a few months ahead I will be replacing all my current routers with a Wifi 7 Deco mesh setup just because it give me the ability to force a device to connect to a certain satellite which my current easymesh setup wasn't able to do and to future proof my network.

Dear @MrJi
Thank you very much for the information, it was important for me to know that the Archer AX80 does not have a smaller range than the Archer AX73, and especially that both routers have no problem working in EasyMesh mode.
As for switching to Wi-Fi 7 and the BE standard, I was also thinking about it, but I currently do not own a device that supports Wi-Fi 7, so I am not being given money for something that I cannot fully use yet!
So only when I first get new devices/clients that support Wi-Fi 7 and decide to switch from Wi-Fi 6, I think that by then the prices of devices with Wi-Fi 7 will also get a little cheaper because for now all of that is still expensive for me!.
Thanks!

By any chance will a firmware fix or tether app fix for this issue be coming out soon?
I've been stuck with this bug for over a year and up until now it seems the latest firmware for both AX80 and AX73 still doesn't fix this issue.
My EasyMesh main router is AX80 and my satellite router is AX73.
OneMesh is displaying instead of EasyMesh on the Tether App.

@Sunshine
I'm also curious when your technical support will resolve this issue in the Tether application, because I was planning to buy an Archer AX80 these days, so should I hope that the issue will be resolved?
I definitely keep OneMesh turned off in the Tether application, but it irritates me because I don't have the EasyMesh function displayed in Tether, and by the way, these screenshots are from my Archer AX73, so it doesn't work on it as well as on the Archer AX80...
Please fix it !
