now I understand and I will plan with the omada EAPs ... Can I use the omada EAPs exactly like the deco devices or do I have to create a separate cable connection to the omada switch for each one? I would like to have one EAP with the PoE connection to the switch and the second only with power over an PoE injector as range extension. (without direct LAN connection to the omada PoE switch) Will this work? Thanks and regards, Max.

Although the points can be connected to each other via WiFi, from the point of view of competent and stable network construction, it is not recommended to do so.

therefore, ideally, each point should be connected to the switch by cable.

You also need a controller for this ecosystem.

You can use the inexpensive hardware OC200 as a controller

or deploy the software controller on the computer

I still recommend using a hardware controller

and configure access points through this controller
