Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.0.2 build 240611 Rel.80268n

 

My Vigi C540 is showing "connection failed, please try again" most of the time when i try to see the live streaming from my APP in spite of having a excellent internet connection and no saturation on 2.4 bandwidth 

 

It's bumpy ride because it's very difficult to see the streaming when needed, I'm engineering system and i can ensure the cam is rightfully set and connected because when error is happening i can see the network configuration working as expected and i am completely sure my internet service is running fine, even the distance between the cam and my network is super close

 

My firmware 3.0.2 build 240611 Rel.80268n and Vigi App with version 2.5.32 and de device is Vigi C540W 1.0

 

By the way, within my network i also have a Tapo C310 and I don't have this kind of issues 

 

What's happening? Please help me because i think this is an firmware issue or factory defect 

 

I'm looking forward to hearing from you with any workaround

  @diegotorre50 I have exactly this problem. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it spontaneously drops the connection and gives that error message. Restarting the app doesn't help. Sometimes I can see the camera on my one device while the other device is showing that error message.

 

All this started right after the app updated.

  @diegotorre50 I have been able to resolve this problem. It had nothing to do with the camera or the app. The problem was in my network.

 

Somehow another device had been assigned the same IP address as the camera. Once I fixed that the problem went away.

  @instance Great 😃 for you, unfortunately i am not quite sure the culprit is the same because i am using one unique camera and a unique network exclusively for it, indeed i decided to wire the camere by thinking it could get better the experience but eventually i got the issue, sometimes my camera connects perfectly, other time fails with the same error message 

 

I am about to think, it's related to Vigi quality because with Tapo it's everything okay

DNS would and other settings would matter. In a simple network, without any touching in the DNS, and the rest of the settings, I have never run into an issue like this.

In rare cases when I am outside, the network is unstable, and I might get this error. But this error has barely been reported for months, or I have experienced it for the moments when I test it.

 

You create a network for it, but it does not guarantee its stability of the network. The uplink, DNS, and router settings all can affect its connection. If your cellphone uses the VPN, that could affect it as well.

 

The foundation of the network or mechanism could vary from the Tapo. I have never dealt with the Tapo. Based on what I learned about the VIGI, and the system, it could still be the environment of your network.

If you are interested in remote debugging, we might get a debug firmware, and you can manually install it. We could get some logs about what might be wrong.
