Model: ER7206 (TL-ER7206)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.2.0

I do not have anything connected to the WAN/LAN6 port but every few minutes it keeps telling it was up/down.
Do i have a defective unit that needs to be replaced?

Hi @deadmau5

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

What's your online detection interval?

This happens because your WAN5 is down and it switches to WAN6 and WAN6 is not connected to anything and after a while, it will be marked as down and switch back to primary. But your primary is still down. So, it goes into this circle.

Consider settings the Echo Server so you specify a server to monitor the online status. Disable the WAN if nothing is connected or not used.

  @deadmau5

This started hapenning for me once i updated to latest OC200 beta and the corresponding router firmwares.  Althought initially it may appear concerning, its really more of a nuisance in the log history than anything.  I was getting them stating my ER8411 WAN SFP+ was down all the time (a port im not using and cannot be disabled).

I just turned off these log entry events and its no longer a bother lol

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300

There is a trend. For both router and switch, we will add more and more logs which was not displayed in controller mode, but they are actually working behind the scenes all the time and sending the logs. Even though they are not useful for some users, they will still be displayed. So I would like to let you know that this is the trend. More logs are adapted to the controller, and they will be enabled by default.

And they're likely to become a nuisance or spam to the users, but this is what certain groups of people are hoping for. Detailed logs. There is more to come. More detailed logs and more "strange" logs.

I am seeing the same stuff on my test bench, but I don't see it spam. It adds around 10-20 per day, and my network, test bench, is based on wireless and indeed fluctuates.
