Model: Tapo C230  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 250107

So I've had multiple C210 for many years now and they work pretty reliably for the most part. I use them to monitor my pets at night or when I'm not home.

I recently bought a C230 thinking the better resolution would improve my experience. But on the contrary, the experience with this new model is nothing short of terrible.  
Constant freezes of the feed, inability to watch recordings due to a constant loading symbol and the motion/pet detection is also much much worse than previous models.  
Wifi RSI is -46, SD card has been replaced and tested in other cameras, Internet speed at home is 1000MBit/250MBit.
Are there any plans to fixing these issues?

Try the suggestions in this article to see if there is any improvement in this situation. What should I do if I can't view the Tapo camera?

I already did everything mentioned in your first link. Like I said, all other cameras that are setup the exact same way, work flawlessly.

 

The detection issue is that my pet rabbits often do not get detected when moving around. Every detection level is set to 10.  
Again, everything works fine on all my other cameras, so I know this is neither a network nor an SD card issue. It's only the C230 that isn't working correctly.
