Hi all,

I'm looking for some purchasing advice.  I'd like a router that I can connect my (Acasis TBU401) USB M.2 enclosure to, but I'd like the drive to be easily accessible in Finder, or to have programs default save to that drive, rather than having to Go > Connect To Server etc each time I want to use it.

Is that how it works?  It will only need to be accessible from one mac, locally.  I'd also like a seperate IoT network, if that affects recommends.

Many thanks in advance

Hi @3_50,

Thank you for contacting our community.

Most of our routers support USB sharing. To enable and access the USB drive attached to the Router, please log in the router's web management interface and go to Advanced > USB > USB storage device. Enable the drive that you want to share to the network.
After that, you should be able to access the USB Sharing folders over the network, here are the instructions for accessing the USB Sharing from different client device:
How to access USB storage device on the TP-Link Routers from Windows or Mac OS
If you wish to access the drive remotely, make sure to enable Internet FTP as well.

An IoT network enables you to separate your IoT devices from your main network, enhancing the connection stability and giving you improved management and control over your smart devices. Please note that devices connected to the IoT network of our router will still be able to communicate with devices on the main network.
