Firmware Version: 1.6.1 Build 20231227 Rel. 53644

Hello,

 

I have a set of Deco E4R. The device bellow says V2 but via web interface it says E4R(1.0). I thought I should upgrade to the latest firmware, for no reaons, and by checking I get this:

 

Firmware Version: 1.6.1 Build 20231227 Rel. 53644

Latest Firmware Version: 1.7.0 Build 20250116 Rel. 59369
 
When I go here in my Language version: https://www.tp-link.com/gr/support/download/deco-e4/v2/#Firmware
 
The latest firmaware I get is from 2024.
 
But then here in the English version: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-e4/v2/#Firmware

 

I can get the 2025 Firmware. The problem is I get a warnong message "Please upgrade firmware/software from the local TP-Link official website of the purchase location for your TP-Link device, otherwise it may cause upgrade failure or mistakes and be against the warranty."

 

Should I continue with the upgrade or will it crush my Deco?

Hi, if you go to Deco APP>More>System>Update Deco, can you detect a new version?

Occasionally, there would be an update delay on the local official website. You can manually update to 1.7.0 from the web UI, and if the version doesn't suit, the web UI will report an error and prevent the hardware from installing the incorrect firmware.
