Hi there,

 

I noticed someone enquired in August last year about the same issue but not sure if it will be fixed. I recently purchased the C510W and realised that you can track ALL motion but you cannot track people only.
Is there a way that it maybe only records people but not motion?

or only notifies you if a person walks passed instead of all motion? I get a message every time with wind blows and no way of only getting notified for people. Thanks

Tapo C510W doesn't support person tracking. Motion tracking will be triggered by any activities within the detection zone.

 

Person tracking feature is available on Tapo C520WS and Tapo C530WS, consider getting any of these two models if this feature is necessary for you. It is uncertain whether new features will be added to a specific model. When a new feature is added, you will know from this product's firmware release notes.

 

If you only want to receive notifications from person detection, disable the motion detection, and only let the person detection turned on.

  @Wayne-TP with all of the digital assets explaining person detection it really should make it clearer that it doesn't work unless you want hundreds of motion detection notifications on your phone and hope that you don't miss a notification about a person entering your property. There is no point really having the person drtectionfeature if you can't only choose to receive person detection without every motion notification? It's the same as any basic motion detection camera then.

  @GBatch sorry I realised you can turn notifications off for motion but keep person detextiononly so that is a slight help, just a real pity you cannot do motion tracking only for person detection.
