Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.5

Hi,

I have a question.

Prerequisites:
- an Archer router (e.g. AX53 or AX55) running in operation mode "Access Point Mode" that is connected to the Internet
- an Android smartphone that is connected to the router's Wi-Fi and is running the latest version of the Tether app

Using the Tether app (Android), how can I "bind" the router to my TP-Link ID now, so that I can manage the router remotely?

P.S. I know I can log into the Archer's web management interface and "bind" it to my TP-Link ID from there. My question is specifically about the Tether app.

Hi @woozle,

If I remember correctly, when logging into the Tether App, you will use the TP-Link ID, and after configuring the router, the device will automatically bind to the TP-Link ID.
Before configuring it as an Access Point, it will also go through the process of configuring it as a wireless router, and then change the operation mode.
