Hello,

My deco app is showing the warning "Abnormal WAN port speed", which is confirmed by:

- wifi speed test limited < 100 Mbps

- my internet box showing the Deco connected in mode "100 Base TX" on the 2.5 GB port.

My internet box (called free pop) has a 2.5 Gb port, such as my Deco.

A CAT 7 cable is used in between.

When trying to force the freepop box port to 1 Gb or 2.5 Gb I loose the connectivity. Only "Automatic speed" seem accepted but result to a 100Mb speed.

This is limiting severly the wifi bandwith avalaible on my Deco (< 100 Mb) while directly on my "free pop" box I get 600 Mb.

Please help,

I thank you for your valuable answer.

I solved the problem by changing the ETH Cable with a third one, and now the protocol between my Internet box and the Deco is indeed 2500 Base T.

The 2 previous (similar) cables, even if sold as CAT7, were not recognized properly.

Maybe a manufacturing quality issue...

Anyway it is now fine and I thank you very much for your prompt help!

Hi, welcome to the community.

Do you constantly get an error of "Abnormal WAN port speed" on the Deco App?

As the "Freebox Pop" is also a router, did you set Deco XE75 into "Access Point" mode or the default "WiFi Router" mode?

 

If there are more than 2 Deco XE75 Pro units, would it help if we set another XE75 Pro as the main Deco?

How to replace the main Deco with another Deco
