I downloaded the tpplc app, renamed my device saved but the old names are still displaying in the wifi settings.

Welcome to our community.

 

Do you mean you have renamed the device? 

Please note that this is a name change for the Powerline unit, not the wireless network name (SSID).
To change the wireless name, go to the wireless settings, modify it, and then save the changes. Your phone should then recognize the new SSID.

Hi,

 

That is correct. The name of the device and the Wi-Fi names (i.e. SSID) separate parameters that can be modified by the user independently.
