Hello,

I recently purchased the TP-Link Deco X50 modem on 6 September 2025 and have been using it for about 9 days. I noticed a big difference in signal strength between the modem and my mobile phone.

  • On my mobile phone, I can consistently get full 5G signal bars.

  • On the Deco X50, I only see 1 bar, and sometimes it even drops to 4G+ with about 4 bars.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a configuration or setting I should adjust to improve the signal strength?

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know your SIM carrier for Deco X50-5G? Did the mobile phone use the SIM card of the same ISP?

 

The latest firmware for Deco X50-5G_V2 is Deco X50-5G(EU)_V2_1.1.0 Build 20250719

It is suggested to manually install the latest firmware version first.

How to Update the Firmware of Deco

 

By the way, how about the network speed when connecting to Deco X50-5G? Would there also be a huge gap compared with the speed on the mobile phone?
