Model: NE200-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 3.0.0 v60e2.0 Build 250624 Rel.47181n

I purchased a NE200-Outdoor a couple of weeks ago and I am having random reboots on it.

The longest it has gotten without a random reboot is 2½ days, but it usually reboots every 1-2 days (and sometimes it is just online for a couple of hours before it reboots again.

I have tried with a different outlet for the PoE-injector and i have also tried a different TP-Cable for the modem than the included one, but the problem is still there.

I have checked the logs in the NE200 and the are always the same after this reboots.

Any ideas before i go and try to exhange it at the store?

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

Did you use the original POE adapter to power on NE200-outdoor?

If it hasn't been mounted on the wall, have you tried the DC power adapter? Would it have the same issue with the DC power adapter?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Hi, Thanks for youre reply. It is polemonunted up on my roof.. I am currently using the included PoE-injector. I borrowed one from a friend to rule out that it was not the included one that was faulty. The version of the NE200 I have cant be powered in any other way than with PoE, so I can´t try with a wall adapter.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

May I know your SIM ISP?

As the OP mentioned, NE200-outdoor also randomly restarts itself. How about your devices? Have you observed the router randomly rebooting?

Can you add more details when the router freezes? Would there be any changes to the LED status?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Thanks,

Enrico Fabris.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

May I know your SIM ISP?

Have you ever observed any LED changes to the NE200-outdoor when the router rebooted itself?

How about the auto-reboot frequency on the NE200-outdoor?

By the way, may I know how long you have had the router?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

I set up the router a couple of days ago, but the reboots seem to occur randomly. My SIM provider is Very Mobile (Italy), which is a virtual operator using the WindTre network. I can’t provide information about the LED status because the router is mounted outdoors on a wall, making it difficult to check the LEDs.

I’m not sure if this is related, but it seems the reboots happen only when both download and upload bandwidth are being used simultaneously. For example, it does not occur during video streaming, but it does happen during video calls with screen sharing.

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

If you can consistently reproduce the following issue:

it seems the reboots happen only when both download and upload bandwidth are being used simultaneously.

For example, it does not occur during video streaming, but it does happen during video calls with screen sharing.

It is recommended to send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following details for further assistance:

(Please add forum ID# 851464 in the subject)

  • The model number of the wireless router behind NE200-outdoor
  • Please try to log into the web UI of NE200-outdoor via https://tplinkmodem.net or 192.168.254.1 and save a copy of the web UI system log.
  • Please also save a screenshot of the " Internet Status" page.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
