Firmware Version: Latest firmware available in Tapo app

Hello,

I would like to describe the issue in more detail, because it looks confusing and misleading from the user perspective.

In the Tapo app, I set a new electricity price:
– 13 Kč per kWh
– Currency: Kč
– Payment type: one-time
The value is saved correctly in the payment settings.

However, on the main dashboard and energy overview screens, a different cost value is still shown.
It looks like the app continues to display a calculated or averaged cost based on historical data, not the currently configured tariff.

This creates the impression that:
– the saved price is not applied, or
– the system is calculating the cost incorrectly.

From my understanding, the app does NOT clearly distinguish between:
– historical cost calculated with an old tariff, and
– future cost calculated with the new tariff.

There is no clear indication in the UI that the value shown on the main screen is based on historical or averaged data.
Because of this, it is very difficult to understand whether the new tariff is actually being used.

Questions:
1. Is the main dashboard cost based on historical data that is not recalculated after changing the price per kWh?
2. Is there any way to reset or recalculate cost history after changing the tariff?
3. Can you confirm which screens use the current tariff and which use historical averaged values?

If needed, I can provide screenshots or screen recordings and send them to your support email.

Thank you for clarification.

The new rate applies to future electricity consumption only. Previous consumption will still be calculated based on the old rate. Since no new usage has been recorded yet, the total cost displayed when you save the settings will remain unchanged.

If you entered the wrong rate to begin with, you can use the ‘Delete all data’ function (smart plug energy monitoring page > three-dots icon on the upper right side > Delete All Data) to clear all records and start over with the correct setup.

The monthly bill shows the total cost of electricity consumed that month and does not display the detailed calculation.
