I've just purchase the P100 I set one plug up on my son TV, all I've done is set a timer for it to go off every night so it not left on.
He come home today and the tv off but the switch is on at the wall, so the only way to turn the tv on was to unplug it and then switch it on again? Surely this can't be the case every time?

I’m sorry, but I’m not entirely clear about the situation you’re describing. You mentioned that the smart plug is switched on, but the TV connected to it is off. Does this mean the TV screen remains black and isn’t displaying content?

Please note that the smart plug only controls the power supply of the appliance. If a device (like some TVs or monitors) needs an additional manual or remote signal to start, beyond just receiving power, then it is beyond the smart plug's capabilities.
