Can the ER605 Web Filter according to the WAN Port?  I went into Web Filtering and all I see is IP Group for the LAN.  I don't want to block the data all the time just want to block it when on Cellular failover/backup.  I'm just not sure if I'm missing or overlooked something.

Essentially I want to block what I consider unnecessary traffic from going out on the USB Modem (WAN2) only.  We have a cellular backup option plugged into the USB Port, however it's limited to 20 Gigs.  I want to use the webfilter to block all the Social Media crap and Video Streaming sites so the wife and kids don't use up all the data on WAN2 should the primary internet go down.

Thanks in advance,

J

Hi  @JimmiJam

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Unfortunately, Omada gateway cannot apply web filtering in WAN side.

According to your description, you have 2 WAN setups, right?

May I know your current configuration? Do you use the 2 WANs at the same time currently? Did you enable any load balancing or link backup?

@Hank21  I do have Dual WAN Setup.  1 WAN connects to the Fiber Modem and the other is the USB Modem with a Cellular 4G connection.  Both WANs are not used at the same time.  Since the Data on the Cellular Backup is Limited it's not always plugged in,  so no load balancing is setup.  If / When we lose Fiber connection I'll plug up the cellular modem and it'll connect and allow me to use it. use that.  Again my goal was to limit traffic on the USB Modem only and block social media,  streaming sites and anything else I choose,  but not block them on the Fiber side of the WAN.
