New TP Link BE9300 router cannot connect to my HP MFP M236sdw Printer
Hi, I recently purchased a new TP-Link BE9300 router and a HP MFP M236sdw printer.
The router has been set up and is working properly and identifying all wire and wireless clients. However, when I try to connect my HP printer via a network cable directly to the TP Link router, it does not allocate an IP address. The current DHCP address pool is 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.250 with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, but when I connect the HP printer and print out the network report, the IP is 169.254.63.53 (or some version of this). I have also discovered that the subnet mask of the printer is 255.255.0.0.
I have tried to allocate a static IP directly to the HP priner and also tried to switch it to the router's DHCP range and subnet mask. Rebooted and reset network settings many times but with no success.
Any help is appreciated on what I'm missing or haven't tried out.
