The resolution cannot be changed.
I am dissatisfied with the limited video resolution options of this product !
Given its premium positioning and price point, I find it unacceptable that the only available settings are Auto, 720P, and 4K.
This selection is completely insufficient for current requirements.
I request the release of a firmware update that unlocks more intermediate resolution options, in order to align the product's performance with its price segment.

Hi,
Could you please explain the reason why you'd like other resolution options and your usage scenario?
Best Regards

Could you explain why Tapo chose to offer the option to reduce the resolution down to 720p, but not provide an intermediate option such as Full HD (1080p) or 2K?
The reason I would like to be able to change the resolution is that, for everyday use and to save storage space, a 2K resolution would be more than sufficient.
However, during periods when I am away on vacation or whenever I want to capture as much detail as possible, I would prefer to use 4K resolution.
This would allow me to benefit from efficient storage usage during normal operation while still having maximum image quality available when needed.
Thnak you.

Hi,
Thank you for your question regarding the resolution options available on the Tapo C560WS.
To optimize the user experience and simplify management, the C560WS currently offers three selectable resolution modes: Auto, 720P, and 4K. We believe that providing these three core options strikes the best balance between clarity, smoothness, and storage efficiency.
1. Auto Mode: The camera intelligently adjusts the resolution based on your current network conditions, prioritizing smooth and stable live video.
2. 720P Mode: This mode ensures clear image quality while significantly conserving bandwidth and local storage space.
3. 4K Mode: Delivers ultra-high-definition video to capture maximum detail when needed.
Our focus is on refining the performance and reliability of these core options to ensure a stable and satisfactory user experience. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by not offering intermediate resolution choices, and we truly appreciate your understanding. We have taken note of your feedback regarding the need for options like Full HD (1080p) or 2K. Your suggestion has been documented and forwarded to our product development team for further evaluation in future planning cycles.
Thank you for your valuable input and for helping us improve our products.
